ergoCentric COVID-19 Update

 

On Monday, March 23, the province of Ontario issued its list of essential workplaces that can remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a supplier to the healthcare sector, the various levels of government and producers of necessary inputs for essential service providers, ergoCentric Inc. is deemed an essential manufacturer and is permitted to continue operating during this time.

Through our healthcare division, healtHcentric, we supply products that have been in high-demand by healthcare systems across North America during the outbreak of COVID-19. These products include but are not limited to handsfree medical stools, sleeper chairs (for use in both hospitals and shelters), the hand hygiene/ utility shelf, laboratory seating and task chairs used in clinical and administrative areas of hospitals. In addition to our healthcare applications, our ergonomic task chairs are being sought after by corporations and employees who are being asked to work from home as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.

ergoCentric has taken the COVID-19 pandemic very seriously and has enacted numerous plant hygiene initiatives and respect for social distancing to help mitigate risk to our employees. We have restricted access in our manufacturing facilities to our employees only. We have temporarily closed the Toronto showroom&store, and our showrooms in Ottawa, Montreal, Mississauga, Edmonton, and Sudbury.
