ergoCentric to Distribute the Iconic HÅG Capisco in Canada

Mississauga, Ontario, Canada – March 8, 2016 – ergoCentric Seating Systems (ergoCentric) and Scandinavian Business Seating are pleased to announce an agreement under which effective immediately ergoCentric will be the exclusive Canadian distributor for the Scandinavian Business Seating brands HÅG and RBM.

ergoCentric will initially offer the award-winning HÅG Capisco, HÅG Capisco Puls® and HÅG Conventio Wing®. The renowned HÅG Capisco saddle chair was designed by Peter Opsvik over 30 years ago. The inspiration for the HÅG Capisco – “The Saddle Chair” – was horseback riders’ dynamic posture and Opsvik’s goal was to create a task chair that would invite the user to assume the greatest number of sitting postures possible during the workday. Born out of the legendary HÅG Capisco, the HÅG Capisco Puls is based on the understanding of the human body’s need to move, while the HÅG Conventio Wing is a dynamic chair allowing for movement and variation of postures, both of which are especially desirable during conferences and lengthy meetings.

“The unique design of the HÅG Capisco and the success of the HÅG Capisco around the world makes it one of the few chairs people ask for by name,” says Terry Cassaday, owner of ergoCentric. “Adding these chairs to our product offering supports our strategic focuses on sit-to-stand solutions, the healthcare segment and to introduce the ergoCentric brand to the broader contract furniture market.”

“We’re very excited to expand our presence in Canada with this important launch,” said Lars Lund, Export Manager with Scandinavian Business Seating. “ergoCentric is an excellent partner, and this opportunity allows us to reach a broader base of health conscious Canadian consumers who appreciate the importance of active-sitting during the workday.”

The HÅG Capisco, HÅG Capisco Puls and HÅG Conventio Wing are available through select dealers in Canada or at
